Artists' Book Open Call and Publishing Night

Pilot press…is a collaborative feminist publishing house run by Jen Kennedy and Liz Linden.  All publications are archived on the press’ website, contemporaryfeminism.com, which comprises part of an ongoing project dedicated to publicly exploring the question: what does "feminism" mean today? Recent pilot press… projects have included The Brooklyn Museum, Independent Curators International, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and Cleopatra’s in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Court Square is a Long Island City-based project space and curatorial collective devoted to supporting the production and exhibition of new work by emerging artists, writers, and curators. Dedicated to a pedagogic approach, the gallery invites young and unrepresented artists to create new work in the context of a group exhibition. Court Square is run by Ceren Erdem, Jaime Schwartz, and Lisa Williams - all recent graduates of Columbia University’s MA program in Modern Art: Critical and Curatorial Studies. In affiliation with Columbia’s Department of Art History and Archaeology, Erdem, Schwartz and Williams are co-Founders and co-Editors of Interventions, an academic visual arts journal and curatorial platform featuring essays, interviews, web-based art projects, and experimental investigation of the implicit cross-sections between these practices.
