Meulensteen

R. Buckminster Fuller (1895 – 1983) became one of the world’s most preeminent visionary thinkers of the 20th century after introducing his revolutionary designs for the geodesic dome, the Dymaxion structures (including the Dymaxion Car and Dymaxion House), as well as his system of holistic thinking, Synergetics. As a primarily self-educated 'comprehensive anticipatory design scientist,' he worked to solve global problems associated with shelter, transportation, education, energy, ecological preservation, and poverty. Over the course of his lifetime Fuller held 28 patents, authored 28 books, and received 47 honorary degrees. His influence continues today, particularly in the nascent sustainability movement.
